UmeGo ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and profile photo.

Profile Information: Information you choose to provide such as bio, city, interests, and gender.

Content: Posts, messages, photos, videos, voice messages, stories, and comments you create or share.

Usage Data: How you interact with the app, features you use, and time spent.

Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the UmeGo service
• To personalize your experience and show relevant content
• To enable communication between users (messaging, calls, spaces)
• To send important service notifications
• To improve and optimize the app
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies. Media files are stored on Cloudflare R2 with global CDN distribution. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL.

Voice and video calls use WebRTC with end-to-end encryption. Call signaling data is temporary and deleted after calls end.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Other users: Your profile, posts, and content you choose to share publicly
• Service providers: Supabase (database), Cloudflare (CDN), Google (authentication)
• Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect rights and safety

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Update or correct your information
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data
• Opt out of non-essential communications

6. Matrimony (Nikah) Feature

The matrimony feature collects additional information you voluntarily provide, including religious practice, family background, and partner preferences. This data is only visible to other matrimony users and can be deleted at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

UmeGo is not intended for users under 16. The Nikah (matrimony) feature requires users to be at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

8. Third-Party Services

UmeGo integrates with the following third-party services:

• Google Sign-In: For authentication (Google Privacy Policy)
• Apple Sign-In: For authentication (Apple Privacy Policy)
• Supabase: Database and authentication (Supabase Privacy Policy)
• Cloudflare: Content delivery (Cloudflare Privacy Policy)

9. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile and personal data within 30 days. Some anonymized data may be retained for analytics.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email.
